![]() In order for you to succeed you have to be consistent in your actions based on your goals or dreams you want to achieve. Staying persistent allows you to not accept obstacles that come in your way or ideas that run into dead-end. So in this blog, I’m going to give you four tips on how to stay persistent so you’ll be consistent and move forward in your path to success. Think About What You Want
First - think about what you want. I like to think of three big things that I wish to accomplish. Then, take a look at what you've been doing to achieve that goal – I recommend writing it down because when you write things down it starts the process of your commitment. Second – stretch yourself to find and work with new methods to achieve your goals. Think of five things that you must do to move your goals forward. Don't accept the idea or the belief that you've tried everything. If you had truly tried everything you would have been successful already. The truth is you've only tried everything that you know - and if you haven't succeeded there's either something that you don't know or something that you haven't tried. Third - Think of three people that you need to connect with to either help you or give you information to move you in that direction. If you are waiting on them, then list what you needed from them in order for you to move forward. And lastly, list priorities that you need to complete today in order to move one step forward. I’ve learned to make a weekly priority list so I have given myself enough time to complete my priorities without overloading my daily achievements. Work the Process I know this process works for anything you want to achieve - but remember - you have to stay persistent and continue despite setbacks and see things as you would have them be instead of as they are. Thomas Edison went through ten thousand experiments before he figured out how to invent the light bulb. He stayed persistent, tried a different approach and never believed that he knew everything. If you want to be successful, think of all the things you have tried, and then focus on finding a solution by searching for things you haven't tried. You may think a certain approach won't work but if you haven't tried it - you don't know. Search for new solutions. Stay persistent and change your approach. To succeed you have to imagine that feeling when you have achieved your goal and, believe with that knowing that you can find the solution to achieve your goal and believe without a doubt that you deserve to achieve your goals. Staying persistent and having a belief that you've tried everything and can't succeed is pointless - because your belief system isn't in line with what you want to achieve. Your subconscious mind picks up on your beliefs and creates your reality based on what you believe. So if you are persistent and believe that you have tried everything and can't succeed - then your subconscious is not going to direct you to new solutions and will only guide you to situations that will help you fail - after all, that's what you believe. What can you do? Change your beliefs If you're not achieving your goals and you're persistent - then your beliefs have to change. To do this you first change your thoughts. Track your current thoughts and change those that don't work for you. For example: if you believe that you can't succeed and have tried everything tell yourself that there's something you need to try, or discover that will help you succeed. Tell yourself that you can achieve your goals - and that all you have to do is find the solution that will help you succeed. Push your mind to find a way to achieve your goals and in the process you'll instruct your subconscious mind to help you find the situations, people and events that will allow you to succeed. If you don't believe there is a way - change that belief - and regularly tell yourself that there is a way. Then begin looking for a new way to achieve your goal. Try a different approach. Remember never give up. If you give up - nothing changes and you never achieve the success that you want. Begin and be persistent. In doing so, you give your subconscious mind a new reference points that will help you find new ways to achieve your goals. And by being persistent you have stretched your mind to another level of conscious thought that will help you achieve your goals. Stretch Yourself! You’ll be glad you did. |
